About Cash and Carry Stores

URM opened their first Cash & Carry store in 1950 in Spokane. Today there are six stores throughout Eastern Washington and Idaho. The original purpose of the Cash & Carry stores was to provide an outlet for slow moving and discontinued inventory from our main warehouse. The stores later shifted their focus by becoming more of a satellite warehouse, even delivering to some institutional customers. In 2002 the stores once again changed direction by dropping all of their deliveries and becoming more focused on our walk in customers. By adapting basic retail merchandising and marketing techniques, today we continue to focus on our institutional customers, but also are open to the general public. The stores have expanded their merchandising to now include beer and wine, and have gone through several remodels.

All of our Cash & Carry stores stock the essential dry grocery, deli, produce, frozen grocery, meat, restaurant equipment, beer, wine, and coffee shop products for your home and business. Although there are other Cash & Carry stores in our marketing area, we are the only ones that are locally owned.
